LOCATION & DIRECTIONS
There are some great reasons why Plainfield is one of the most
popular towns in metropolitan Chicago. Many of them have to
do with transportation access. Just 35 miles from Chicago,
Plainfield is close to I-55, I-88, I-80, and Route 30. Nearby
Naperville has two Metra commuter train stops, with a third
being planned west of Route 59 near 95th Street. When you really
want to get away, both O'Hare International and Midway Airports
are easily accessible.
Local travel is no problem, either. Grande Park residents will
get to where they want to go via 127th Street on the north, 135th
Street on the south, Heggs Road on the east, and Plainfield/Oswego
Road on the west. Route 59, a major north-south road, recently
was widened from 111th Street to 143rd Street. Ridge/Stewart
Road, which runs through Grande Park, is part of the proposed
path of the Wi-Ka-Du-Ke Trail, a proposed north-south road that
would link Will, Kane, DuPage and Kendall counties.
